What Is a Pattern Break?<\/b><\/h3>\n

When classes use WOOF, students regularly check in \u2014 sharing their mood of the day and what\u2019s currently affecting them. These short reflections, done a few times a week, help both students and teachers see how the class is feeling and evolving over time.<\/span><\/p>\n

As the class works together and the mood begins to shift in a sustained positive direction, WOOF detects a <\/span>Pattern Break<\/b> \u2014 a moment when the data shows that something has changed for the better.<\/span><\/p>\n

When that happens, we let the class know: <\/span>You\u2019re on a positive trajectory.<\/span><\/i>
\n<\/span><\/i>Something in your classroom culture, relationships, or routines is improving \u2014 maybe it\u2019s due to the team-building activities recommended by WOOF \u2014 and that\u2019s worth noticing and building on.<\/span><\/p>\n

What Does Positive Development Look Like?<\/b><\/h3>\n

A Pattern Break happens when a class\u2019s mood rises and stays elevated \u2014 not just for a day or two, but as a clear trend.<\/span><\/p>\n

To understand what positive development really means, we went beyond the numbers.<\/span>
\n<\/span>We talked with teachers, school leaders, and students using WOOF to learn what positive change <\/span>feels<\/span><\/i> like in daily school life.<\/span><\/p>\n

From these insights, clear patterns emerged:<\/span>
\n<\/span>Classes that use WOOF regularly and create Pattern Breaks don\u2019t just <\/span>feel<\/span><\/i> better \u2014 their data shows long-term, measurable improvement.<\/span><\/p>\n

In fact, our findings show a statistically significant positive correlation between doing regular WOOF check-ins, creating Pattern Breaks, and achieving sustained improvements in classroom mood.<\/span>
